[Mon Dec 10 05:08:27 2007] : (3) Lisa Todd: The last you saw of me I was dashing into the hedge maze, I did this for a number of reasons, first, one should never stay still while in the hedge, even if you don't know where out is standing still only makes you a target for monsters and other hedge crawlers, second, in order to find the way out one must first be deeper in. Reality as I've mentioned is not all togeather logical in the hedge. Third, if you stay still too long the thorns begin to rip away small bits of your soul, one memory at a time until you cannot find your way out because you don't remember anything before the maze.

A while after they bayed the call the huntmasters arrived to collect the days trophey. All would have been well then if it were not for Fetch.. The Huntsman's finest hunterhound. Fetch has always had a knack for ferreting me out, and more than once I've had his fangs upon my tail. It of course would be different were I still in the kennels, then it would not be a hunt to wound and capture, but more to corner and pester.

The chase as it were was on. For a time I did not realized my only true escape route. Such is the nature of the hedge, it bids you forget. You become lost in its sensation, in the thrills, the terrors, the pleasures, it is a lure, a trick to keep you distracted as the thorns eat at you.

The pain was intense, his fangs poisoned in some way no doubt, the rancid meat the hounds are fed to encourage them to hunt more passonately for "fresh meat" no doubt having something to do with it but I did not stop. I finally saw the moonlight though the leaves and thorns, and in so doing found the last path and the way out.
